LASU admissions not for sale; varsity warns parents, racketeers
Gideon Toluwalope Adonai The Lagos State University, (LASU) Ojo, has warned the general public and parents who are offering cash to racketeers to work admission to their favour that its admission is not for sale! The statement was issued while refuting the claims of admission racketeering in the ongoing 2025/2026 admission process. The university clarified that, despite receiving an unprecedented number of applications this academic session, only 20% of the over 70,000 applicants will be offered admission. There have been claims suggesting that LASU is favouring the highest bidders for admission, which the university administration has firmly rejected.
