BREAKING: LASU on verge of NUC approval for new academic course, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
The Lagos State University, LASU is set a launch a new course which will be added to academic programmes, after getting crossing the Rubicon with verification exercise by the National Universities Commission, NUC.
This is according to a Thursday communique released by the university.
The new course is Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The course would run in the School of Transport, one of the 14 faculties in the university.
The verification exercise for the programme took place on Thursday, 14th December 2023.
Representatives of the National Universities Commission (NUC), led by Prof. Aminu Braimah arrived the University main campus, Ojo, Lagos, for the resource verification exercise on Thursday, and were received at the Senate Chamber by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Adenike Boyo and other members of the University Management.
The Vice Chancellor expressed her pleasure to receive the two-man team noting that the exercise was a significant step towards the full actualization of the new programme. She assured that the university would give the team all the needed support to make their assignment hitch free.

She then handed over the team to the Dean of the School of Transport, Prof. Charles Asenime and his team before the visit was brought to a close.
By afternoon the same day, the NUC team returned to the office of the Vice Chancellor having concluded the assignment and presented their report to the satisfaction of the Vice Chancellor.
