LASU begins 2025/26 admission process with indigeneship verification

The Lagos State University, (LASU) has finally begun it's  2025/2026 admissions, as most sought-after State University calls for verification of indigenes of Lagos State, in a process that precedes the general admission process.


According to the university's Registrar and Secretary to Council, Emmanuel A. FANU "all candidates of Lagos State origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195, are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVC) for the 2025/2026 admission.


Fanu said the exercise would commence on Monday, 26th May 2025 and close on Thursday, 19th June 2025.  While the Verification Interview will start on Monday, 26th May 2025.


Orangesprings Blog hints that the general admission process in LASU for non indigenes may begin in June ending.


It is also important to note that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into the Lagos State University.


The portal for the online registration exercise will be opened on Monday, 26th May 2025.

Candidates are to make payment to Lagos State University Account online through this link: https://lasu.edu.ng/iive/  


● *GENERAL INFORMATION*


i. Please NOTE that ONLY candidates who are of Lagos State origin are eligible for screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission;


ii. The interview will hold at the following venues:


*Ikeja Division:* Sociology Class, opposite University Health Centre


*Badagry Division*: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education


*Ikorodu Division:* Law Clinic, Faculty of Law


*Lagos Division*: International Business Class, MBA Building


*Epe Division:* School of Transport and Logistics 


iii. Old applicants for 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only *revalidate* their indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at www.lasu.edu.ng with payment; and

 

iv. All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State origin are to participate in this Indigeneship Verification exercise before they can be considered for admission.
