LASU hostel/accommodation applications begin online for males and females

  By Gideon Adonai The Lagos State University has announced the commencement of online applications for students hostel allocations for the upcoming 2024/2025 academic session  Orangesprings Blog understands that interested students can applying via the university website www.lasu.edu.ng/hostel. The online application portal, which is designed to ensure a fair and efficient allocation process, will open on Thursday, 5th September 2024, to allow new and returning students to apply and be allocated hostels on a first come first serve basis. New students will, however, be able to apply only after they have been offered admission to enable them access from the quota reserved for them by the university. Adebobola emerges 35th LASUSU President in keenly contested poll

By Gideon Adonai Adebobola Ayomide Stephen, popularly called Joldie on campus has emerged the 35th President of the Lagos State University Students' Union. Adebobola was declared winner of the presidential ,,,?election after polling 1717 votes, out of 4845 votes cast. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on Friday congratulated all the winners in the just concluded Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU) elections, which held on Thursday, 8th and Friday, 9th August 2024.  The Vice Chancellor congratulated, in particular, Comrade Adebobola Ayomide Stephen, popularly known as Joldie, and Hon. Adedeji Adeniyi, popularly known as Energetic, on their elections as the 35th President-Elect of LASUSU and Speaker-Elect of the Students Parliamentary Council, respectively. UPDATE: LASU announces Post UTME screening of 2024/2025 undergraduate admissions

By Gideon Adonai   The Lagos State University, LASU has announced readiness to open it's portal for applications from suitably qualified candidates for the university's 2024/2025 Admission Screening Exercise (Regular Students) for candidates seeking admission via UTME (100 level) and DIRECT Entry.  This is according to a Thursday statement signed by Emmanuel A. FANU Registrar and Secretary to the university's Council, and immediately obtained by our reporter. Both payment and registration/updating would last for Twenty-Five (25) days, i.e., Monday, 12th August 2024 Friday, 6th September 2024/ (12 midnight). Apply: UNILAG opens portal for Post UTME screening for 2024/2025 undergraduate admissions

By Gideon Adonai   The University of Lagos, UNILAG has opened its portal for online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into ALL UNDERGRADUATE COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The registrations will be on from Monday, 5th August to Friday, 23rd August 2024. This is according to a communique signed by the Ag. Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Ọlakunle E. Updated: Four LASU alumni make historic SAN list record

Gideon Adonai Four graduates of the Faculty of Law of the Lagos State University, LASU, have made an historic list of Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN, recently published by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC).  This is according to a Friday communique obtained by Orangesprings Blog. They are: 1. Boonyamen Babajide Lawal, ESQ; 2. Olasupo Ati-John, ESQ; 3. Oluwolemi Esan, ESQ; and 4. Cole Segun Ololade, ESQ The four (4) are among the eighty-seven (87) new silks elevated to the rank of SAN in 2024 by the LPPC the sole body that appoints lawyers to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria while preserving the integrity of the legal profession.  According to the statement that announced their appointment, the swearing-in ceremony of the four (4), alongside the other eighty-three (83) silks, will take place *on Monday, the 30th day of September 2024*.
