Updated: Four LASU alumni make historic SAN list record

Four graduates of the Faculty of Law of the Lagos State University, LASU, have made an historic list of Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN, recently published by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC). 


This is according to a Friday communique obtained by Orangesprings Blog.


They are:

1. Boonyamen Babajide Lawal, ESQ;

2. Olasupo Ati-John, ESQ;

3. Oluwolemi Esan, ESQ; and

4. Cole Segun Ololade, ESQ


The four (4) are among the eighty-seven (87) new silks elevated to the rank of SAN in 2024 by the LPPC the sole body that appoints lawyers to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria while preserving the integrity of the legal profession. 


According to the statement that announced their appointment, the swearing-in ceremony of the four (4), alongside the other eighty-three (83) silks, will take place *on Monday, the 30th day of September 2024*.


The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) rank is usually conferred on legal practitioners in Nigeria who have practised with excellence.  


The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, joins the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Kareem Olatoye to congratulate the new silks on their elevation. She wishes them well as they begin the new phase of their career.
