LASU HOLDS SCREENING EXERCISE FOR PROSPECTIVE UNIVERSITY USHERS!

                         The Wrold-Class Lagos State University has written her name in the abyss of time again, when the institution made a move to her students as ushers for the university ceremonies. This ascertains the veracity of LASU's mantra: 'inclusiveness and transparency. Over two hundred students have been screened for recruitment.




The Secretary, University Ceremonies Committee, Mrs. Obayomi Davies and the Information and Public Relations officer, Mr JerrySam Olaniyi and a host of others worked laboriously to make the exercise successful.


 Distinguished Friends and Colleagues, today, Thursday 12th January, 2017, has entered the book of history again for another positive and consequential reason at the Lagos State University, as one of the days that students of the University rose to support the institution in the area of community service delivery. Over Two Hundred [200] Students from the various Faculties/College/Schools of the University registered for the audition to become LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY OFFICIAL USHERS. One Hundred and Eighty [180] Students appeared before the carefully selected Distinguished Panelists. The list of the successful candidates will soon be published by the Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations [CIPPR], Vice Chancellor's Office. Members of the Panel were : Adebola Ademeso Ph.D, Babafemi Babatope Ph.D, Yeside Dosumu - Lawal [Mrs.], Secretary University Ceremonies Committee, Modupe Obayomi - Davies, Acting Head, CIPPR, Martin Adekoya Mr., Asst. Registrar Students' Affairs Division ; Agosu Olubunmi [Mrs.] and 27th LASUSU Vice President Olundegun [Miss] . The Chairperson, University Ceremonies Committee, Prof. Ayo Faji Badejo and Dean, Lagos State University School of Communication, Prof. R. W Olatunji who is also a member of the Committee later visited the Auditorium to see the proceedings. The prospective Ushers [Males and Females] were subjected to quality, world - class screening exercise at the Magnificent Auditorium of the University. Members of staff of the Security Department, CIPPR and UMC provided the necessary back room support. This great development was unprecedented in the life of the University and was another confirmation of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. 'Lanre Fagbohun's statement "...
