INSURGENCY COMBATS HAVE BEEN INTENSIFIED AS IG LOSES WEIGHT

The evidently challenging battle against insurgency has reached the climax as the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is heavily losing weight, the President has declared. His Excellency, made this clear yesterday on HL his arrival from a clandestine visit to the UK. With this in mind, Nigerians may have all reasons to be at peace and rejoice. However, logically, the Inspector General of the Police would not be in right position to combat all forms of terrorist acts. The military should be in charge. However, the President has the final say. Interestingly again, whoever is at the receiving end of a battle should lose weight due to stress and constant duress. Pragmatically and philosophically, it would be valid to maintain that the opposite is the case.

LASU: Academic activities to immediately resume as varsity gets gubernatorial lifeline

Gideon Adonai  Academic activities at the nation's most preferred university, Lagos State University, (LASU), Ojo and its other campuses are set to resume following breakthroughs in talks with union heads by top authorities of the Lagos governor's office. Following this development, confirmed by an insider in LASU, the Senate of the fastest growing university in terms of applicants' choices and latest infrastructure,  has approved the resumption of academic and social activities with effect from Wednesday, 13th August 2025.
