LASU Visitor, Sanwo-Olu rewards best graduating student with ₦10m [VIDEO]

The Lagos State Governor and Visitor to the university, Mr Babajide Olusshola Sanwo-Olu, has rewarded the overall best student of the Lagos State University (LASU) Olawale Mubarak Olaniyi with ₦10 million.


The governor made this announcement at the university’s 27th Convocation in Lagos on Thursday.


Mubarak, from the department of accounting education, graduated with cumulative grade point average of 4.98 in the 2022/2023 academic session.

LASU: Academic activities to immediately resume as varsity gets gubernatorial lifeline

Gideon Adonai  Academic activities at the nation's most preferred university, Lagos State University, (LASU), Ojo and its other campuses are set to resume following breakthroughs in talks with union heads by top authorities of the Lagos governor's office. Following this development, confirmed by an insider in LASU, the Senate of the fastest growing university in terms of applicants' choices and latest infrastructure,  has approved the resumption of academic and social activities with effect from Wednesday, 13th August 2025.
