By Gideon Adonai

The university will definitely handle the case of a delinquent student allegedly linked with the University of Lagos, UNILAG, who was filmed in a vital video fighting lecturer.

This is according to a terse statement posted to Orangesprings Blog on Thursday night by the Senior Special Adviser to Lagos State on Students' Affairs, Mr Samuel Olawale Kappo.

Kappo is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos State University, LASU and the Lagos State Students Union (LASUSU) president in the 2016/2017 academic session.

In the viral video, a yet-to-be-identified university student was spotted pushing a lecturer on the chest.

According to the video shared by Yabaleftonline, the student forcefully pushed the lecturer on the chest after the lecturer also had also been seen dragging the student out of the class.

Further findings by Orangesprings showed that the so-called lecturer had in a separate video obtained by our reporter, assaulted the student  and dragging his school bag.

Reacting to the video, Mr Kappo said:

"There is noting over to me o. The institution will take necessary action as deemed fit."

Meanwhile, tweeps have gone on social media to show their different stands on the issue.

"The student is gone. The University Senate will always stand by their own" one Victor Ononokpono posted on Facebook.
